Privacy Policy

1. What data we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide BooknTrim:

• Account information (name, email address, and a securely hashed password).
• If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides your name, email address, and profile image. We do not receive your Google password or any calendar data.
• Business information (name, phone, address, services offered).
• Booking data (client name, email or phone number, selected time, and service).
• Payment and subscription information (processed by Stripe; we do not store card details).
• Technical and usage data, including optional PostHog analytics only after consent.

2. How we use your data

We process data for these purposes and legal bases:

• Providing the service under our contract and protecting account security.
• Booking confirmations and reminders (email or SMS).
• Subscription and payment processing.
• Customer support and communication.
• Meeting legal obligations and, with consent, understanding and improving service usage.

3. Data storage

Account and booking data is stored using Supabase infrastructure for as long as needed to provide the service, protect legitimate interests, and meet legal obligations. When an account is deleted, active data is removed; limited backups may remain for a short technical retention period. We use access controls, encryption, and customary security measures.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with processors needed to operate the service: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS when enabled), and PostHog (optional analytics after consent). Where data is processed outside the EEA, the provider's lawful transfer safeguards apply. If you choose Google sign-in, Google also processes the authentication request as an optional identity provider.

5. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and may withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account in the dashboard or contact us. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

6. Cookies

Essential cookies support sign-in and security. Optional PostHog analytics and session recording start only after you select “Accept”. Selecting “Essentials only” keeps analytics disabled. You can change your choice by clearing BooknTrim site data in your browser. We do not sell data for advertising.
